Updating pivot tables with new data

After you create a pivot table, you might add new data, or change the existing data.When you refresh the pivot table, it might not show all the new records, or pick up the changes.

You can also undock the Pivot Table Field List, in which case, you can resize it both vertically and horizontally.

If you don't see the Pivot Table Field List, make sure that you click anywhere in the Pivot Table.

When you create a Pivot Table, Excel displays the Pivot Table Field List so that you can add fields to the Pivot Table, rearrange and reposition them as needed, or remove them from the Pivot Table.

By default, the Pivot Table Field List displays two sections: You can dock the Pivot Table Field List to either side of the Excel window and horizontally resize it.

If this number makes sense to you, you're good to go.
